正面描述 Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing an elaborate ruffled collar and imperial mantle, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The numeral '3' appears in a small cartouche at the bottom of the coin, denoting the denomination. The bust is encircled by a beaded border, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading FERD II D G RO I S A G H BO REX, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles. The portrait is executed in the vigorous, somewhat provincial style characteristic of Silesian hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century.

附加信息

Ferdinand II issued these small silver coins through the Breslau mint at the height of the Thirty Years' War, a conflict that devastated Silesia repeatedly through troop movements, requisitions, and deliberate economic disruption. The Habsburg administration leaned heavily on regional mints to keep fractional coinage circulating precisely because military expenditure was draining larger denominations from the economy faster than they could be replenished.

Breslau's output during this period was prodigious but inconsistent — planchet quality varies noticeably across the 1629–1632 run, a known characteristic of the series rather than a grading concern.
