Obverse description Bust of Emperor Ferdinand II of Habsburg facing right, with ruffled collar and imperial mantle, within a beaded inner circle. The sovereign's effigy is rendered in the early Baroque style typical of Silesian coinage of the period. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, interrupted by mint marks or privy letters depending on the emission. The overall composition is characteristic of the Kipper und Wipper-era small silver coinage of the Habsburg hereditary lands.
