The figure is rendered in a baroque style within the coin's field. The denomination numeral 3 appears at lower left. The circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, referencing Saint Lucius and the city of Chur.

Reverse description The double-headed imperial eagle of the Holy Roman Empire dominates the reverse field, displayed with wings spread and each head surmounted by a crown, with a third imperial crown above uniting them.
