Additional information

Charles VI spent much of his reign fighting the War of the Spanish Succession and its diplomatic aftermath, culminating in the Pragmatic Sanction of 1713 — the same year this Graz series opened — by which he attempted to secure Habsburg hereditary lands for his daughter Maria Theresa in the absence of a male heir. The Graz mint, operating under Styrian jurisdiction, was one of several provincial facilities striking small silver for local commerce throughout this period.

Herinek's broad range of 728–741 reflects meaningful die variation across the fifteen-year run rather than simple date progression.
