Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Archduke Charles II of Austria facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and plate armor, with a laurel wreath or feathered cap upon his head. The denomination numeral '3' appears prominently in the lower field beneath the bust. The surrounding legend reads CAROLVS D G ARCHIDVX, interrupted by the effigy, rendered in a late Renaissance hammered style typical of Inner Austrian coinage of the period.
