| 表面の説明 | Half-length facing bust of St. John the Martyr (Patron of Cyprus), depicted with a halo, holding a processional flag in one hand and a sword in the other, rendered in a Baroque style typical of early 18th-century German ecclesiastical coinage. Montfort-Peggau was one of the smallest and most obscure of the Austrian imperial fiefs with minting rights, and by 1731 the county's coinage authority was operating on borrowed time — the line expired with Anthony III himself, after whom no successor held the comital title. This 3 Kreuzer belongs to the last gasp of an independent minting tradition that had persisted for generations in the Vorarlberg region before absorption into the broader Habsburg administrative structure made such local issues redundant.
