Obverse description Central oval shield bearing the quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg impaled with the personal arms of Ingelheim, featuring a checkerboard (chequy) pattern on the central escutcheon. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown with a cross finial and flanked by elaborate baroque mantle or drapery. Ecclesiastical insignia, including a crozier and sword, appear as supporters behind the shield. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the composition within a milled border, reading partially: ANG · FRANC · D · G · HERB · S · R · I · PR · FR · O · DUX.
