Obverse description Three heraldic shields arranged in a triquetra-like grouping occupying the central field: the upper-left shield bears the Austrian eagle, the upper-right shield displays a barry field charged with stars, and the lower shield features a diagonal barry pattern with roundels. The date 1797 is inscribed in the field flanking the lower shield, with the numerals '17' to the left and '97' to the right, followed by a period. The coin's edge is finely milled with a reeded border visible around the circumference.

Reverse description A two-line inscription denoting the denomination 'III KREÜTZER' is positioned centrally, surmounted by a curved legend reading 'VORD. OEST. SCHEID. MUNZ.' across the upper half of the field. A sprig of laurel and a palm branch are arranged below the denomination inscription, framing it decoratively. The mintmark 'H' appears at the bottom of the field, identifying the Hall in Tirol mint.
