| Anmerkungen |
Uralmashinostroy was the construction trust responsible for building Uralmash — the Ural Heavy Machinery Plant in Sverdlovsk — one of the flagship industrial projects of the First Five-Year Plan. During the early 1930s, the remote construction site operated largely outside the normal Soviet retail infrastructure, and the trust issued its own scrip to pay workers for use at site canteens and company stores. These notes were a practical solution to a chronic shortage of small-denomination state coinage, which the State Bank consistently failed to supply to outlying industrial sites in sufficient quantities.
The 1931 date places this squarely in the most intense phase of construction, before the plant's formal opening in 1933.
