Obverse description Facing double-headed imperial eagle with wings displayed and lowered, each head shown in profile facing outward, surmounted by a single imperial crown with an orb finial. The eagle's breast bears an escutcheon depicting the mounted St. George slaying the dragon. The talons clutch crossed sceptre, orb, thunderbolts, and a laurel branch. The mint initials С.П.Б. (Saint Petersburg) are inscribed in the lower field beneath the eagle, serving as the sole legend on this face.
