Beschrijving voorzijde Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a separate crown and the whole surmounted by a larger Imperial crown bearing a cross finial. The eagle holds an orb in its right talon and a sceptre in its left talon, with a shield on its breast bearing the St. George and dragon device. The wings are spread and detailed with individual feathers. The eagle is set within a plain inner circle, flanked on either side by ornamental interlaced geometric designs. The circular Cyrillic legend reads 'МѢДНАЯ РОССІЙСКАЯ МОНЕТА' (Copper Russian coin) along the upper arc and 'ТРИ КОПѢЙКИ' (Three Kopecks) along the lower arc, separated by the decorative side ornaments.

Beschrijving keerzijde The date '1895 ГОДА' (year 1895) arches prominently across the upper field in large serif characters. The central area is enclosed by a beaded inner circle and displays the large numeral '3' flanked by two five-pointed stars, above the denomination 'КОПѢЙКИ' (Kopecks) in bold Cyrillic letters. Below the denomination, a small decorative scroll ornament separates the denomination from the mint mark 'С.П.Б.' (Saint Petersburg Mint) at the base of the inner circle. The entire central device is framed by a wreath composed of an oak branch on the right and a laurel branch on the left, tied at the base with a ribbon bow.
