| 背面描述 | Square klippe flan with a circular inner field enclosed by a beaded border. Two mitred and vested bishops, Saints Rupert and Virgil, the patron saints of Salzburg, are depicted facing one another in the field, each robed in full episcopal vestments and holding their respective attributes — a model of a church and a crozier — between them. The figures are rendered in the hieratic style typical of late Renaissance ecclesiastical coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads: S * RVDBERTVS * ET * S * VIRGILIVS * EP, identifying the two saints as the co-patrons of the see. The composition fills the circular field with considerable sculptural presence. |
