| Beschrijving voorzijde | The municipal arms of Breda — a shield charged with three saltires arranged two-and-one — occupy the central field, enclosed within a raised inner circle. Flanking the shield, the denomination numeral '3' appears to the left and the letter 'G' to the right. A continuous beaded border surrounds the inner circle, with the circular legend IN · DER · NOOT · B · A · 1577 · 3 · G running between the beaded border and the coin's irregular klippe edge, referencing the necessity of the siege coinage. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Breda came under siege by Spanish forces during the broader Dutch Revolt, and the city — cut off from normal supply and financial channels — authorized emergency coinage to meet immediate military and administrative obligations. Siege gold of this period was typically struck from whatever metal was at hand, often from melted plate or jewelry donated or requisitioned under duress.
The Delmonte unlisted status matters. Even within the specialized literature on noodgeld and siege issues of the Low Countries revolt, this piece sits outside the established sequence — suggesting either a die variant unrecorded at time of publication or a genuinely unattributed emission.
