Obverse description Central field occupied by the crowned heraldic shield of Zeeland, displaying a rampant lion emerging from waves, rendered in high relief. The denomination numeral '3' appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviation 'GL' to the right, both in the field. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated by pellets, within a beaded inner border. The milling on the edge is visible at the rim. The overall design is characteristic of late 17th-century Dutch provincial milled coinage, with bold lettering and a well-defined crown surmounting the shield.

Reverse description A standing female allegorical figure, representing the Province of Zeeland or Liberty, is depicted facing slightly right in the central field, draped in classical robes. She holds a long staff or spear in her left hand, topped with a hat, and rests her right hand upon a Bible or lawbook placed on an ornate pedestal, at the base of which rests a crown. The date appears in the exergue below the figure. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design within a beaded border, the whole composition executed in the Baroque style typical of late 17th-century Dutch provincial coinage.
