Obverse description The reverse die serves as the obverse on this medal-aligned issue, depicting the standing draped figure of the Maid of Utrecht (Hollandia), facing slightly right, holding a tall staff surmounted by the Liberty cap in her raised right hand, while her left arm rests upon an ornately decorated pedestal. A small crowned shield appears above the Liberty cap. The date is inscribed in the exergue below the figure. The encircling Latin legend reads HANC TVEMVR HAC NITEMVR along the inner border, with a beaded outer rim.
