Obverse description Draped bust of King Frederick I of Prussia facing right, wearing an elaborate long allonge wig with flowing curls cascading over the shoulders, rendered in the baroque court style typical of the early eighteenth century. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field, with fine detail visible in the drapery folds of the royal mantle. The Latin legend FRIDERICUS REX arcs along the upper periphery of the coin.

The reverse legend SUUM - CUIQUE, meaning 'to each his own' — the motto of the Order of the Black Eagle — is distributed across the field or along the periphery.
