| Description de l’avers | The obverse features a central shield surmounted by a crown, flanked on either side by rampant heraldic animals (likely lions or griffins) facing inward toward the shield. The field is dominated by a multi-line Latin legend arranged horizontally across the coin in three registers, reading GROS ARG / TRIP REG / POLONIE, with the date elements I and D appearing in the lower portion of the field separated by a cross. The design is typical of the Polish-style triple grosch denomination issued under Moldavian authority, with rough hammered surfaces and irregular flan edges characteristic of late sixteenth-century eastern European coinage. |

| Description du revers | The reverse depicts a standing armored figure of the voivode, shown frontally in a stylized manner with arms extended, rendered in the crude but vigorous hammered style typical of Moldavian coinage of this period. The figure is encircled by a continuous Cyrillic legend running around the entire periphery of the coin, identifying the ruler as Stephen voivode by the grace of God. A cross appears prominently at the top of the legend, and additional symbols including a crescent are visible in the field alongside the central figure. The overall design reflects the blending of Eastern Orthodox iconographic tradition with contemporary Central European heraldic coinage practice. |
