| 正面铭文 | REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH 3 EURO (Translation: Republic of Austria 3 Euro) |
| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a highly detailed, partially colorized depiction of a Styracosaurus in three-quarter frontal view, rendered in vivid amber and brown tones with textured, scaly skin, multiple prominent cranial horns, and a large frill. In the left background, a large theropod dinosaur — likely a Tyrannosaurus rex — looms in uncolored relief, set against a prehistoric landscape of rocky ground, low vegetation, and tall tree trunks. The name STYRACOSAURUS and the date 2021 are inscribed in a curved legend along the lower periphery within a recessed arc. The striking color contrast between the vibrant foreground ceratopsian and the monochrome background predator creates a dramatic, naturalistic composition typical of the Supersaurs commemorative series. |

Austria's 3-euro "Prehistoric Life" series, launched in 2018, was designed explicitly to attract younger collectors — the face value was set artificially low and the coins were sold through supermarket chains and toy retailers alongside conventional numismatic channels. Styracosaurus, a ceratopsian from the Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous, gets the treatment here. The series has been commercially aggressive, with new issues dropping annually to sustain subscription momentum.
