Slovenia's 3-euro denomination has no basis in the eurozone's official currency structure — the European Central Bank authorizes no such coin. These are collector issues struck under national commemorative authority, legal tender in Slovenia but practically uncirculated by design. "Stara Pravda" refers to the 1515 Slovenian peasant revolt, one of the largest uprisings in the region's medieval history, in which peasants demanded a return to older, fairer feudal obligations — the literal meaning of the phrase.
