| Obverse description | The quartered coat of arms of the city of Le Havre occupies the central field, surmounted by a mural crown and flanked by a leafy oak branch to the left and an olive branch to the right. The shield displays a lion passant in the upper left quarter, three fleurs-de-lis in the upper right, and a salamander in the lower half, with the city motto NUTRISCIO EXTINGUO inscribed on a ribbon scroll beneath. The denomination numeral '3' appears to the left of the arms and the word 'EURO' is stacked vertically to the right, while the legend '25 JUIN - 9 JUILLET 1996' curves along the upper rim and 'DE LA VILLE DU HAVRE' runs along the lower rim. |
