Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick IV facing right, wearing a voluminous flowing allonge wig rendered in high relief with elaborate curls cascading to the shoulder, armor visible at the truncation with decorative knotwork at the chest. The effigy is bold and finely modelled in the late Baroque portrait style characteristic of late 17th-century Scandinavian coinage. A Latin circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading from the left and continuing around the upper field to the right.

Reverse description Draped bust of the late King Christian V facing right, depicted with a similarly voluminous allonge wig in high-relief Baroque style, with armor and decorative drapery at the truncation. The portrait closely mirrors the obverse in composition and artistic treatment, reflecting the dynastic continuity theme of this coronation commemorative. A Latin circular legend surrounds the effigy, identifying the monarch, with a milled inner border visible along the coin's periphery.
