Obverse description Elaborate city arms of Breslau occupying the central field, comprising a quartered shield with the Silesian eagle and the city's distinctive 'W' charge, surmounted by a crested helm with elaborate foliate mantling and flanked by ornate baroque scrollwork. Above the achievement, a nimbed figure of St. John the Baptist is depicted facing, holding a cross-staff and banner. The date 1622 appears divided within the field, and mintmaster's initials HR are present at the base. The circumferential Latin legend reads: MONETA AVREA S P Q WARSILAVI 16 ZZ H R.
