| 表面の説明 | Three interlaced crowned C5 royal monograms arranged in a trefoil pattern at the center of the field, each composed of two opposed and interlinked letter C's with the numeral 5 at the center. Six ornamented crowns are disposed symmetrically around the border — one large open crown surmounting the central device at top, two partial crowns visible at the left and right mid-field, and three additional crowns interspersed at the lower periphery — all set within a finely beaded border. The overall composition is executed in a bold, high-relief Baroque style characteristic of Danish royal coinage of the period. |

Christian V came to the Danish throne in 1670 determined to break the power of the old nobility, and the legal codification of that effort — the Danish Law of 1683 — was already taking shape by 1673. Multiple-ducat pieces of this period functioned less as circulating currency than as diplomatic gifts and presentation pieces, distributed to foreign envoys and favored courtiers as instruments of royal favor.
Fr#13 is among the scarcer Fredericus-type multiples in the Danish gold series. Survivors in any condition are infrequently encountered at auction.
