| Obverse description | Central design featuring two oval shields of Bern, each bearing a walking bear, displayed in saltire and surmounted by a single ornate crown. Rampant lions serve as supporters to the left and right of the conjoined arms, with the numeral 3 (indicating the denomination) placed between the bases of the shields. A winged cherub mask with foliate sprays decorates the lower field. The circular legend MONETA REIPVBLICAE BERNENSIS runs along the periphery, enclosed within a finely milled border. |

| Reverse description | An elaborate Baroque cartouche, formed by bold acanthus-style scrollwork and flanked by rocaille ornaments, frames the devotional Latin legend in four lines across the open field. A scallop shell finial crowns the cartouche at the top, while a small decorative element closes it at the base. The mint date 1734 appears on the lowest line within the cartouche. The smooth surrounding field is unlettered, with a milled outer border encircling the entire design. |
