The Maple Leaf Quartet series was designed as a four-coin interlocking set, each $3 piece forming one quadrant of a larger composite image when the coins are arranged together. The Royal Canadian Mint has used this format periodically to drive complete-set collecting behavior — the individual coins are intentionally incomplete as standalone objects.
Struck in .9999 fine silver, this is among the purest silver compositions the RCM produces for collector issues.
