Bar and bowling alley scrip from small-town Wisconsin — this kind of in-house "mixer" currency was a promotional tool, typically redeemable for drinks or league fees at the issuing establishment. Cadott sits in Chippewa County, and local tavern scrip of this type was never formally regulated, meaning issue quantities, redemption policies, and print runs were entirely at the proprietor's discretion. Survivors exist almost by accident — stuffed in a drawer, forgotten in a jacket pocket.
