| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the Anno Domini date in Arabic numerals, with a dagger device below. A circular legend in Urdu surrounds the central design, reading 'Malika Mu'azzamah Queen Victoria', identifying the reigning British sovereign under whose suzerainty the state operated. The overall layout is typical of Kutch coinage of the period, with the inscription contained within a beaded or plain border. |

Kutch maintained its own coinage well into the British period through a formal arrangement that required native issues to acknowledge both the local ruler and the Crown — hence the paired authority reflected in this type. Pragmalji II ruled from 1860 to 1875, a period during which Kutch remained one of the more administratively distinct princely states in the Bombay Presidency. The dokda denomination was peculiar to Kutch, part of a local reckoning system that never fully mapped onto imperial metrology.
