Reverse description Central field displays a Mauritian cross with splayed, double-barred arms, its ends terminating in trefoil or fleur-de-lis finials, occupying the majority of the flan. The cross is set against a plain field and surrounded by a wreath of stylized floral or foliate motifs. A circular Latin legend encircles the design along the periphery, citing the ruler's additional titles. The overall style is consistent with hammered billon minor coinage of early seventeenth-century Savoy.
