Obverse description The obverse displays a large, boldly rendered numeral '3' occupying the majority of the central field, flanked by a small pellet to the right. The denomination numeral is executed in a plain, utilitarian style characteristic of small Genoese copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. Below the numeral, the inscription 'DENARI' and the date '1752' are struck. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed rope or milled border running along the inner rim.
