| 备注 |
T. Eaton Co. issued small-denomination paper scrip at several Canadian store locations as a practical solution to coin shortages, particularly during periods when making change for small purchases was genuinely cumbersome. The Moncton branch was one of the Maritime outposts of the Toronto-headquartered retail empire, and scrip of this type was redeemable only at the issuing store — a deliberate policy that kept money circulating back through Eaton's own tills rather than into general commerce.
Three-cent denominations are among the more uncommon values in Canadian merchant scrip, reflecting a pricing structure now long obsolete.
