备注

Canadian Tire's in-house loyalty scrip gained an unusual footnote in 1976 when the corporation issued a commemorative variant marking the Montreal Summer Olympics — a private retailer inserting itself into one of the most politically fraught Games of the 20th century, best remembered for the mass African-nation boycott over New Zealand's rugby ties with apartheid South Africa. The Canadian Bank Note Company, which printed genuine Dominion of Canada currency, produced this scrip to the same exacting security standards it applied to federal issues.

Sasaki and Muncaster were both senior executives at Canadian Tire at the time of issue, their signatures lending the piece a corporate formality that outlasted both their tenures.
