Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Napoléon II facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The legend NAPOLEON II is inscribed vertically along the left rim, and EMPEREUR vertically along the right rim, both within a beaded border. The portrait is youthful in character, consistent with the age of the nominal heir at the time of issue, and the overall style reflects early nineteenth-century French medallic artistry.
