Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Napoleon I facing left, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style, with short curled hair. The circular legend reads NAPOLEONE IMPERATORE E RE around the upper periphery, with the date positioned in the lower exergual area flanked by small decorative marks. The coin is framed by a toothed border. The portrait is the work of engraver Luigi Manfredini and conveys a strong, idealized imperial likeness.
