| Reverse description | The reverse is similarly typographic in character, enclosed within a raised rectangular border matching the obverse. The field carries three lines of incuse Latin lettering reading PROVISI / ONAL TRES / CENTAVOS, denoting the provisional denomination. A four-pointed star ornament occupies each corner, and the mintmaster initials TM appear in the lower portion of the field flanked by decorative stops and dashes. The austere, utilitarian design is consistent with emergency coinage struck during the Mexican Revolution. |
