| Descrição do anverso | Cast iron cash coin of standard Song Dynasty form, featuring a central square perforation (穿) flanked by four Chinese characters arranged in clockwise reading order within the coin's field. The inscription 至和重寶 (Zhihe Zhongbao) is rendered in regular script (楷書), with the characters reading top, right, bottom, left in clockwise sequence. The raised characters stand in relief against the flat field, bounded by a broad inner rim surrounding the square hole and an outer raised rim encircling the coin's periphery. The overall casting shows typical Northern Song workmanship, with slightly irregular surfaces consistent with iron casting of the period. |

Zhihe was one of the shortest reign periods of Emperor Renzong's extraordinarily long rule — just two years, 1054 to 1055. Iron cash of this era were struck primarily to address chronic copper shortages driven by the hoarding and export of bronze coinage, a problem so persistent that the Song court repeatedly legislated against it with little effect. Iron issues circulated mainly in specific regions, particularly Sichuan, where iron currency had deeper institutional roots.
The clockwise reading distinguishes this from the more common counterclockwise convention and narrows attribution to a specific regional mint output.
