Obverse description Cast iron cash coin of standard Song Dynasty form, featuring a central square perforation (穿) flanked by four Chinese characters arranged in clockwise reading order within the coin's field. The inscription 至和重寶 (Zhihe Zhongbao) is rendered in regular script (楷書), with the characters reading top, right, bottom, left in clockwise sequence. The raised characters stand in relief against the flat field, bounded by a broad inner rim surrounding the square hole and an outer raised rim encircling the coin's periphery. The overall casting shows typical Northern Song workmanship, with slightly irregular surfaces consistent with iron casting of the period.
