| Obverse description | Central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim, with four Chinese characters in Regular script (楷書) arranged in cruciform order around the hole, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left as 慶元元寶 (Qingyuan Yuanbao). The characters are rendered in a formal, balanced style typical of Southern Song imperial cash coinage. A plain raised outer rim borders the coin's circumference. The iron flan shows significant surface oxidation and casting texture consistent with Sichuan provincial mint production. |

| Reverse description | Central square perforation framed by raised inner and outer rims, with mint and series mark characters cast in relief in the fields around the hole. The character 川 (Chuan, denoting Sichuan province) appears above the square hole, with the series numerals 卅五 (Sa Wu, Series 35) distributed in the remaining fields. The reverse is largely plain, following the minimalist convention of Southern Song iron cash from Sichuan provincial mints. Heavy iron oxidation and casting irregularities are visible across the flan surface. |
