(Translation: Three Bu)
Reverse description Oval gold flan with a textured, granular hammered surface. The entire field is dominated by a flowing, cursive grass-script (草書) inscription rendered in bold relief strokes, reading 筑前 (Chikuzen), the historical province name corresponding to the Fukuoka Domain in northern Kyushu. The characters are executed in an expressive, calligraphic style with sweeping, interconnected brushstroke forms characteristic of high-quality Edo-period gold coinage produced by domain mints.
