| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bearing the crowned Portuguese royal arms, depicting the quartered shield with castles and bezants, surmounted by a royal crown. Flanking the shield on either side are the initials D and O, rendered in Latin script, referencing the mint officers' marks associated with the Diu mint. The design is characteristically broad and shallow, consistent with the cast production technique employed at the colonial Portuguese India mints of this period. |
