Obverse description The national arms of Muscat and Oman occupy the centre of the field, depicting two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid upon two crossed swords, all rendered in relief. A circular Arabic legend surrounds the arms, reading the full royal title of Sultan Sa'id bin Taimur. The design is contained within a denticulated inner border running along the rim.

Reverse description The large Arabic numeral '٣' (3) dominates the centre of the field, with the denomination legend 'بيسة' (baisa) inscribed above. Two miniature national arms — each comprising crossed khanjar daggers and swords — flank the numeral at left and right. The Hijri date '١٣٨٠' (1380) is inscribed below the numeral, and the mint name 'مسقط' (Muscat) appears along the lower arc within a denticulated border.
