背面描述 The central device features an elaborate ornamental cross rendered in high relief, with four arms of equal length, each terminating in stylised foliate and floral motifs executed in a Gothic Revival manner. At the centre of the cross, within a shaped cartouche, appears the Roman numeral III denoting the denomination. The figure 1000 is inscribed at the lower base of the cross, referencing the fineness. Two small rosette ornaments flank the lower legend. The circumferential Latin legend reads PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI in the upper arc and ARGENTEUS along the lower arc, separated by the decorative stops.

附加信息

Werner Graul was a German medalist active in the mid-twentieth century who produced a series of private religious issues outside any state monetary system. The "Argenteus" denomination is entirely his own invention — these pieces carry no legal tender status and were sold directly to collectors and devotional buyers. The X# prefix in the World Coin catalog system designates exactly this category: fantasy issues and privately struck pieces with no government backing.

At 45 grams of .999 silver, the production cost alone would have made these inaccessible as anything but collector objects from the moment of issue.
