| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing left, her elaborately curled hair worn loose and adorned at the crown, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The birth and death dates 1717 and 1780 appear in the field to either side of the effigy, with the mint year 1957 inscribed in the lower exergue. The surrounding legend reads MARIA THERESIA IMPERATRIX GER, distributed along the inner border in raised Latin capitals. The portrait is conceived in a neo-Baroque artistic style, evoking the imperial iconography of the Habsburg era. |
