| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing left, her elaborately curled hair worn loose and adorned at the crown, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The birth and death dates 1717 and 1780 appear in the field to either side of the effigy, with the mint year 1957 inscribed in the lower exergue. The surrounding legend reads MARIA THERESIA IMPERATRIX GER, distributed along the inner border in raised Latin capitals. The portrait is conceived in a neo-Baroque artistic style, evoking the imperial iconography of the Habsburg era. |

| Reverse description | A bold six-pointed cross with decoratively cusped and scrolled arms dominates the field, with stylised lily or fleur-de-lis motifs filling each of the six angles between the arms. At the centre, enclosed within a shaped cartouche, the Roman numeral III denotes the denomination. The fineness mark 1000 appears below the central cartouche, at the base of the cross. The circular legend PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI arcs across the upper field, while ARGENTEUS is inscribed in large capitals along the lower border, framed by small ornamental rosettes. |
