| Obverse description | Two upright ears of grain (wheat or barley) occupy the central field, their heads facing outward and stalks downward, rendered in relief with detailed surface texture. The ears are arranged side by side, nearly symmetrically, filling the flan. A Latin legend surrounds the design, distributed around the periphery of the coin. The overall composition reflects the agricultural importance of the region and the standard civic iconography of Roman provincial coinage in Mauretania. |
