| Popis rubu | A dense laurel or olive wreath occupies the entire reverse field, enclosing the magistrate's inscription arranged in multiple lines within the wreath. The wreath is rendered with considerable detail, individual leaves and berries visible despite the heavy patination, and forms an unbroken circle around the central legend. Within the wreath, the Latin inscription records the name and titles of the local magistrate M. Paccivs, along with the abbreviation AVG, referencing Augustus. The overall design is typical of Augustan-era Sicilian civic bronzes, where the wreath serves as a framing device for the civic and imperial titulature of the issuing authority. |
