| Reverse description | A circular olive or laurel wreath occupying the central field, tied at the base, rendered with individual leaves depicted in moderate relief. The wreath encloses the magistrate's name and title in a multi-line Latin legend. The surrounding field inscription M P(AC)CIVS MA(C)X FLAME AVG identifies the local official Marcus Paccius Maximus in his capacity as flamen Augusti, the priest of the imperial cult of Augustus. The flan is broad and irregular, consistent with Sicilian provincial bronze coinage of the early Imperial period. |
