| Obverse description | Central field displays the national emblem of Mongolia — the Soyombo symbol surmounting a stylised lotus flower base — enclosed within a horseshoe-shaped arch, with the Cyrillic legend 'Монгос Банк' inscribed in an ornate script across the centre of the emblem. Traditional Mongolian script (Uyghurjin) appears vertically in the left and right fields. The denomination '2500' is prominently displayed in large numerals in the lower central field, with 'ТӨГРӨГ' inscribed immediately below. A circular border legend reading 'MONGOLIA • 0.5 OZ.999 SILVER • 1997 •' runs along the lower rim, and the entire design is bounded by a finely reeded inner border. |
