Obverse description Central field features the stylised national arms of Nepal, depicting Mount Everest within a square cartouche surmounted by an ornate geometric framework of interlocking angular motifs. The Devanagari legend reading 'नेपाल' (Nepal) appears above the central device, with the abbreviated issuer name 'राष्ट्र बैंक' (Rastra Bank) distributed to the left and right flanks of the design. The Gregorian-equivalent Nepali Sambat date '२०७६' (2076 VS) is inscribed at the base, and the Latin legend 'NEPAL' appears within the lower portion of the central cartouche. The entire design is encircled by a continuous beaded border.

Reverse description The central field displays the Ik Onkar symbol (ੴ), the sacred emblem of Sikhism representing the one universal creator, rendered in large raised relief and dominating the composition. A curved Devanagari legend around the upper periphery reads 'गुरु नानक देवको ५५० औं जन्म जयन्ती' (550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev), flanking the Ik Onkar device on both sides. Below the central symbol, the denomination 'रु २५००' is inscribed in Devanagari numerals, and the commemorative date span 'A.D. 1469 - 2019' appears in Latin script along the lower arc. The design is enclosed by a beaded border running the full circumference of the coin.
