Factory scrip issued by the Sokol aircraft plant — manufacturer of the MiG-31 and, later, the Yak-130 — as part of a broader Russian corporate currency revival that appeared in several industrial enterprises during the mid-2000s. These plant-specific notes functioned within the facility's internal economy, redeemable at on-site canteens and factory stores rather than in general circulation. Polymer substrate was an unusual choice for this type of scrip, where printed paper was the norm.
