| Opis rewersu | A nude male athlete rendered in the style of ancient Greek red-figure pottery, depicted in a crouching preparatory stance as a discus thrower (discobolus), facing right and leaning forward with the discus held in the left hand and a second discus visible to the right of the figure. The design is executed in gold against a dark oxidized field, evoking the appearance of classical Attic vase painting. A continuous Greek key (meander) border frames the entire composition along the inner rim. The reverse carries no inscriptions or legends. |
